Dr. Rebecca Chopek

_DSC6274.jpg

Dr. Chopek grew up on her family farm just outside Consort, a small town in southeast Alberta. She has been passionate about Optometry since she was 17 years old when she started working at optometry clinics during her summers off from school. She then moved to Edmonton, where she attended the University of Alberta for her undergraduate degree. From there, she moved to sunny California, where she completed her Doctor of Optometry with Honours from Western University of Health Sciences.

Dr. Chopek has practiced in various settings, including Wills Eye Hospital, busy urban settings and remote rural clinics. Before moving back to the Edmonton area in 2019, she practiced in Wainwright, Alberta, developing her passion for pediatrics.

In her spare time, when she’s not chasing her three young children (3 kids under 3 yikes) and husband, she enjoys travelling, camping, watching live sporting events, dabbling in interior design (redecorating her house) and DIY projects.

Dr. Chopek is thrilled to be a part of Fort Saskatchewan Eyecare’s thriving but close-knit team and get back to her "family first" eye care roots.
