Kelly 

Born and raised in the Thorhild area, Kelly is a Licensed Optician with over 42 years of experience in the optical industry. She continued her career in Fort Saskatchewan in 1991, working alongside Dr. Geoff Marsh at Family Vision Care as both an optician and office manager. Over the years, Kelly has built a strong reputation for her expertise, keeping pace with evolving fashion trends and advancements in progressive lens technology.

 

Dedicated to patient care, Kelly believes every individual deserves more than just a prescription—they deserve a personalized, positive experience. She is committed to making every visit memorable, ensuring patients feel like valued neighbours rather than just a number. Her depth of knowledge, combined with her genuine approach, allows her to build lasting relationships and deliver the highest level of vision care.

 

Kelly looks forward to continuing to support the Fort Saskatchewan community and helping patients enjoy clear, comfortable vision for years to come.

Kayla 

Kayla has been in the optical industry since 2007, and became a licensed optician in 2012. She joined the Fort Saskatchewan Eyecare team in 2015. She fell in love with our ever changing industry and couldn't imagine doing anything else! She loves to make a personal connection with her patients so she can help them find what is best for their vision and personal needs, and loves helping your children find their new glasses. She was born and raised in Edmonton and has been a part of the Fort Saskatchewan community since she was a young girl as a lot of her relatives live in the city and surrounding area. Kayla’s daughter Leaven, will be attending Kindergarten at St.John XXIII September! She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, shopping, watching movies, reading a good book, and anything that gets her outside. Stop by the office to see Kayla and let her help you with you eyewear needs!

Trish 

Trish was born and raised in north Edmonton and was the youngest of a family of 8.  She started her optical career at 20, receiving her license at 23.  This led to a successful 16-year career as an optician in Edmonton. She decided to step away from her work, to focus on raising her beautiful daughter. Now that her daughter is an adult herself, Trish is returning to her career as an optician to do what she is passionate about, assisting the client in choosing the perfect glasses with knowledgeable, friendly, and professional attitude.

Suzanne

Suzanne was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Shortly after her fourth birthday, her family relocated west to Hinton, where she spent her childhood and completed high school. She later attended university in Edmonton, earning her Education Degree.

 

In 2008, Suzanne, her husband Malcolm, and their two daughters, Kayan and Abby, moved to Fort Saskatchewan, quickly embracing the many opportunities that small-city living offered their growing family.

 

Once her daughters graduated from high school and began their university studies, Suzanne found herself with more time and chose to return to the workforce. Bringing with her a wealth of experience, energy, and professionalism, she joined the team at Fort Saskatchewan Eyecare in 2018. With her genuine love of people and natural gift for communication, Suzanne looks forward to welcoming you and your family.

Tammy 

Tammy was born and raised near Vilna, Alberta. After graduating, Tammy obtained her Bachelor of Education degree. While teaching in the St Paul area, Tammy began her optical career by working part-time in a St Paul optometry clinic. As Tammy had a passion for helping patients, she obtained her Optical Assistant certification and continued working in eye care until after the birth of her second child. After having the opportunity to stay home and raise her family; Tammy, her husband and their two children now live in Fort Saskatchewan. Tammy began working at Fort Saskatchewan Eyecare in the fall of 2020 and once again, she enjoys helping the patients with their eye care needs!

Vera

Born in St. John’s, Newfoundland, Vera is the youngest of her and her big sister, growing up she had the opportunity to live in 6 different provinces and attend 12 different schools due to her parent's work. She began school in Newfoundland and graduated in Victoria, BC. 
She has always had tremendous compassion for people so it’s little wonder that she’s always been in the “people profession”. At Fort Sask Eyecare she loves every opportunity to meet and greet the best people who come through our doors. 
Vera is the proud mama to 4 incredible children, 3 adorable chihuahuas and a fluffy bunny. When she isn’t meeting, greeting and pre-testing our amazing patients, she’s with her family and loving each moment of life.

Brandy

Brandy Malo joins the FSEC family this year. Brandy has over 15 years of experience in the service industry as a Master Hair Stylist but has decided she wanted to try a new adventure. Brandy has been married to her husband Chris for 25 years and they have 2 beautiful children. They reside in Fort Saskatchewan. On her off time, Brandy enjoys gardening, baking and volunteering with her kid's sports.
